Michael Schwartz actually started his career in the fashion industry as an agent. Later on, he decided to follow his dream of capturing both still and moving images. His main inspiration comes from cinema. Michael told us: “Funny enough, I went to school at Emory University in Atlanta where I studied Violence Studies and was considering a career in the FBI out of college. I moved to LA to work in film with my brother who was producing movies, and that is what led me on the path to where I am today.”
Today, Michael Schwartz lives and works as a professional photographer in New York City. During the past years, he has worked for major brands from the fashion and publishing industry including names such as Victoria’s Secret, Hugo Boss, J Crew, La Perla, BCBG, Universal Music, Viacom, Madewell, Sony Records, Polydor Records, American Eagle, Hollywood Records, TV Land, and editorial clients such as V Magazine, V Man, Vogue Russia, Vogue Korea, Vogue Mexico, Vogue Hombre, Interview, Vanity Fair, Icon, Numero Tokyo, Harper’s Bazaar, and Dazed & Confused.
The list of celebrities he was working with includes names like Ben Stiller, Samuel L.
