Contradicting with our perception of traditional materials, Hirotoshi Ito‘s sculptural works are things you have to see to believe.
Ito has crafted smooth stones with embedded zippers that open to reveal objects contained within like coins, marbles, raspberries, and even rows of teeth! The rocks are found in a riverbed near Ito’s home and are chosen based on how closely their shape resembles a pouch.
