Here’s a hilariously specific and bizarre object from Oodesign, a consultancy run by product designer Taku Omura. It’s a 3D printed Rubber Band Insect Cage for those who want to capture and admire crickets, cicadas and the like.

“Please note,” warns the product description, “that because these are rubber bands, strong insects might come out and thin insects might get squeezed.”
For budding entomologists who don’t want to pay the ¥1,650 (USD $14.56) asking price and have a 3D printer, Oodesign also sells the .stl files for ¥400 ($3.53).
