RAIR 2024 Artist Residency
Situated within a construction and demolition recycling center in Philadelphia, RAIR offers artists on-site access to recovered materials, studio space, construction equipment, and a $1,000 stipend. The application fee is $25.

Smithsonian American Art Museum – 2024–2025 Research Fellowships
Residential fellowships at SAAM and its Renwick Gallery support full-time, independent research on US art, craft, and visual culture. Paid appointments are available at graduate, predoctoral, postdoctoral, and senior levels.

Center for Book Arts – 2024 Workspace Artists-in-Residence
New York emerging artists with little or no background in book arts can apply for this yearlong residency, which includes a $1,500 cash stipend. CBA is also accepting applications for Book Artists-in-Residence, meant for those with a demonstrated commitment to book arts.

Clark Art Institute – Research and Academic Program Fellowships
Scholarly fellowships at the Clark in Williamstown, Massachusetts, aim to foster a critical commitment to inquiry in the theory, history, and interpretation of art and visual culture. All fellows receive a stipend, among other benefits.

Eyebeam – The Democracy Machine Phase 3 Fellowships
What is human about technology? Ten artists, five from around the world and five based in NYC, will each receive $20,000 to consider this question for Eyebeam’s digital-first fellowship program, taking place February–August 2024.

Hyperallergic – Journalism Fellowship for Curators
With the support of the Emily Hall Tremaine Foundation, this fellowship provides five curators with $5,000 to support their research and writing, aimed at demystifying curatorial work for a broader readership and developing their journalistic skills. Read more on Hyperallergic.

Moab Arts Reuse Residency
MARR’s mission is to challenge the perception of waste culture. They offer resident artists housing, studio space, project and community facilitation, a stipend, and access to materials at local waste disposal sites in Moab, Utah.

Monument Lab Artist Residency
For its inaugural artist residency program, Monument Lab will provide two emerging public artists in Philadelphia with $10,000 stipends, $20,000 production budgets, $7,500 in support for neighborhood-based partners and programming, and more.

Queens Museum – Jerome Foundation Fellowship for Emerging Artists
Two visual artists will each receive $20,000, individual studio space, professional development consultations, close mentorship from museum staff members, and a solo exhibition at the Queens Museum in 2025.

apexart – 2024–25 NYC Open Call
Five 500-word proposals for NYC-based group exhibitions will be selected to receive budgets of $10,000. Curators, artists, writers, and others are encouraged to apply.

City of Milwaukee – Vel R. Phillips Plaza Commission
Artists are invited to respond to an RFQ to create a public artwork in honor of Vel R. Phillips, a civil rights leader and jurist, in downtown Milwaukee. Three finalists will receive $10,000 for proposals, the final budget is $600,000.

National Liberty Museum – Winter 2024 Exhibition
Philadelphia’s NLM invites artists to consider music as both a form of expression and an experience. Works should offer social commentary and consider how music creates space for dynamic conversations about what it means to be free.

Elizabeth Foundation for the Arts – Open Calls for Exhibitions and Projects
EFA Project Space is accepting applications for two open calls, both of which are meant to explore the notion of “Folklore” in its various forms and aspects. Each initiative includes a budget, plus other offerings.

Prospect Art – New Work Los Angeles
One Los Angeles-based artist will receive a $1,500 project grant, meant to support the creation of an innovative, groundbreaking project for the organization’s New Work series.

Art Jewelry Forum – AJF Young Artist Award 2024
International contemporary jewelry makers ages 35 and under can apply for the chance to win $7,500 and be featured at Schmuck, taking place during Internationale Handwerksmesse Munich 2024. Four runners-up will take home $1,000. The application fee is $35.

Foundwork – 2023 Foundwork Artist Prize
The honoree will receive an unrestricted $10,000 grant and studio visits with distinguished jurors: Alex Gartenfeld, Davida Nemeroff, Shinique Smith, Emiliano Valdés, and Nicola Vassell. Artists must be Foundwork members to be considered ($4/month with the option to cancel after the three-month prize selection period).

Brooklyn Arts Council – Creative Equations Fund
This hyper-local fund supports community-engaged artists, arts organizations, cultural entrepreneurs, and researchers who dedicate their creativity to solving social problems. Grant awards are $10,000 each.

Center for Cultural Power – California x Culture Bearers & Artist Disruptors Awards
Thirty Culture Bearers and 30 Artist Disruptors who live and/or work in specific California zip codes will each receive $15,000 to develop new or existing projects that advance a focus area for the California Arts Council.

National Sculpture Society – Stanley Bleifeld Memorial Grant
This $5,000 prize is awarded to a sculptor who has demonstrated outstanding ability in their field and created a body of work inspired by nature, which must include sculpture in bas-relief and in the round.
