It is the time of year, particularly up north, where the back windshield of your car gets covered in mud, salt, and snow. You may return to your car following an afternoon of shopping to find a little sarcastic message like “CLEAN ME” rubbed on your glass or the always delightful phallic cartoon. Scott Wade has taken unwanted car graffiti to a new level, he is a legitimate dirty car artist.
Wade’s creations are as detailed as paintings you would find in an art gallery, but are ephemeral images, getting erased in your next washing. His work is versatile ranging from images of flowers, to portraits, to landscapes. Without the visual reference of the window and car in the pictures below, they would appear fit for a gallery wall. Many people have taken notice of this unique way of painting seeing as Wade has been commissioned by many big brands around the globe.
