On October 25th, Juddy Roller in Melbourne will be hosting the private view for a show entitled Skin and Bones from Smug One aka Sam Bates. Those familiar with the Australian artist’s prolific muralism over the past 15 years will find it hard to believe that this will be his first solo exhibition. Utilizing spray paint and acrylic, Smug has prepared a selection of works that stay true the imagery he has created largescale on the streets including familiar elements like skulls, skeletons, birds, and caricature-like portraits.
