Just the other day I bought myself an iHome dock speaker for my iPhone and while I can honestly say it is awesome, it’s not even close to the wild looks of this build-it-yourself cardboard boombox.
Thanks to Berlin-based designer and illustrator Axel Pfaender, we can now add a hint of the ’80s to our beloved iPhones, Androids and MP3 players. This amazing build-it-yourself tech device is called the Berlin Boombox. You can pick up the boombox as a kit containing die-cut cardboard and electronic parts. In just a few minutes, you’ve built yourself a stylish Hi-Fi speaker system that runs on three AA batteries.
