In response to the current socio-political climate, Red Bull Arts is expanding its Detroit Microgrant Program nationally. This initiative directly supports artists by providing unrestricted aid.

Through working with a selection committee composed of local arts professionals and activists, the adapted microgrant program will award two $1,000 grants each month to artists in the following 20 cities across the United States: Atlanta, Austin/San Antonio, Baltimore, Boston, Chicago, Cleveland, Dallas, Denver, Detroit, Houston, Hudson Valley (NY), Los Angeles, Miami, New Orleans, New York, Oakland, Philadelphia, Providence, St Louis, and the Twin Cities (Minneapolis/St. Paul). The funds are meant to support artists in continuing their work however they see fit in this difficult moment.

This one-time expansion of the microgrant program was expedited in response to the urgent financial need faced by artists and communities critically impacted by the crises facing the country.

Both individual artists and groups are eligible to apply. Applicants must be 18 or older and able to receive taxable income in the United States, regardless of their citizenship status. Applications are accepted on a rolling basis.
