Last year at the US-Mexico border fence, a large scaffolded installation (covered) from JR (interviewed) was put in place to bring attention to the issue of immigration. If you remember, the he later organized a massive picnic (covered) with his signature eye motif adorning the table, leading to an iconic photo from above. The French artist has now released that image of the event as a print through Social Animals, and entitled it MIGRANTS, MAYRA, PICNIC ACROSS THE BORDER, TECATE, MEXICO – U.S.A., 2017.
