Kristina Varaksina is a Russian-born art director, photographer, and video director currently based in London, UK. In her diverse creative work, she mostly captures human emotions along with psychological impressions in order to project internal realities.

This following series of self-portraits is dedicated to her struggles in life such as struggles to fit in, to meet expectations, struggle to belong, struggle to accept herself, struggles in relationships with other people, struggle to be a woman in a male-centered society or even the struggle of being an artist.
