LEGO Ideas is the website where creative fans can pitch ideas for future build kits, to be voted on by viewers. The more popular pitches can rack up hundreds of comments, and LEGO themselves will chime in once your project reaches a new milestone of supporter numbers. Here are some of the more interesting projects we saw this week:
MACINTOSH PLUS APPLE
It’s 1:1 scale and includes not only the mouse and keyboard, but even a floppy disk and three different screen options (LEGO-character-themed, of course).

A-FRAME CABIN
Cottagecore in full effect. The backstory on this one: “Two brothers, Dan and Ethan, burned out on modern working believed that stripping away modern comforts and living more simply in nature would lead to a more spiritually a creatively fulfilling life. They looked for a cabin in the woods and finally found out this old wooden A-Frame Cabin. They fixed up it, and now they live there happily.”
THE GARDEN AND GREENHOUSE
As with the A-Frame Cabin, another pandemic-inspired fantasy for many is that ability to grow one’s own food. This set-up is looking a lot more attractive than watching Mask Wars unfold at the local supermarket.
MOVIE SET
This is a clever way to get the look of eight different building styles, without needing the bricks to build out the entirety of each structure.

JIM HENSON’S LABYRINTH: ESCHER ROOM
For fans of the 1986 movie, M.C.’s optical illusions, David Bowie and/or Jennifer Connelly.
MAXIMUM SECURITY PRISON
Uh…what?
“The ground floor provides space for the prisoners to be outside in the yard, to play basketball, get strong on the weight bench or just chill in the corner with the rest of the inmates.
“Inside on the ground floor there is a kitchen where the chef cooks for the inmates and guards, a canteen, and a medical care room. The guards safely keep their firearms in the armory.
“Going up on the stairs you find the prison cells on the first floor. Each inmate entitled for a bed, toilet, and small sink with running water. There is a phone booth for inmates to call their loved ones.
“The guards have their watch tower to keep order and watch for inmates try to escape. A spiral staircase leads to the top.
“The prison bus can transfer up to six inmates at one time.”
Only in America, folks.
