Stanchion-Inspired Desktop Lighting

This Strama Table Lamp is by Malmo-based industrial designer André Bern.

“Inspired by the elegant simplicity of stanchion barriers found in museums, this lamp aims to go beyond the boundaries of conventional lighting, adding a sence poetic design to any space. At its core, the Strama Lamp features two metal bases, gracefully supporting a single elegant string of LED lights, illuminating a soft glow and warm ambiance.”

It reminds me a bit of the construction jobsite LED reel lighting that they use in Europe. I think if the lumen output on Bern’s design was high, if the rods could telescope and if the lighting strip was a bit longer, I could actually use this on certain kinds of tabletop projects.

This appears to be just a concept and not in production.
