Mirage is a house designed to reflect the California valley surroundings like an inverted kaleidoscope.
Artist Doug Aitken took to the San Jacinto mountains, which opens up to the Coachella valley in California, to build a suburban home with an exterior covered in mirrors. The house reflects the sky above as well as the mountain ranges adjacent to it.

Mirage was built as a contribution to Desert X, an outdoor art festival featuring 15 artists. The works will be on display until April 30th, 2017. Check Aitken’s mirrored home below!
