Sugar plum fairies meet dark carnival in these outrageous paintings

I know right? I was caught that way too. One look at self-made artist Brandi Milne’s work and you’re sucked in, staring at a strange world through relatable glasses. Every inch of her canvas is utilized with maximum imagery in cuddly packages.

The California native is still gaining steam, peddling her surrealist brand of art that looks like it could adorn a twisted Christmas card or be modeled after some sort of strange sugarplum circus. It has always been her hobby and her outlet. Most, if not all, of her paintings are some sort of extension of her feelings, showing a shy female figure intertwined with bleeding hearts, lazy red rivers, and sometimes gaping wounds. It’s not every day you come across something as special as Milne’s work, so keep your eyes peeled for this one… she’s shooting for the stars.
