Raffaello Ossola is a Swiss painter who is famous for his acrylic paintings of fantastical universes and dreamlike landscapes. Recurring motifs in his works are gravity-defying trees, geometric architecture, gorgeous skyscapes, marbled floors and brightly textured palettes.
The Italy-based painter’s distinctive style reminds me of something straight out of a J. R. R. Tolkien novel. His fantasy dreamscapes are elegant and classical at the same time. Speaking about his works, Ossola stated that “I want to remind people, and in particular myself, that dreams can come true to the degree in which one believes it is possible.”
