My hat’s off to the healthcare workers who have to navigate both facial grooming and regular mask-wearing! If I had to do it daily, I’d go clean-shaven.
Please remember that there is currently a shortage of N95 masks, which are desperately needed by hospitals and healthcare professionals. Healthcare workers are the front line in the fight against COVID-19, and we have to get beyond our fear and selfish impulses in order to support them. Laypeople are unlikely to use the masks as effectively as trained professionals, as you can see by their facemask training procedures.
