This film, compiled in 1941, features footage of The Cloisters during its construction between 1935 and 1938. The Cloisters, a branch of The Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York devoted the Medieval art, is located in Fort Tryon Park in northern Manhattan and incorporates architectural elements from twelfth to fifteenth century Europe.
May 2013 through May 2014 marks the seventy-fifth anniversary of The Cloisters.
