Wine decanters have never looked so contemporary thanks to Etienne Meneau.
The artist creates abstract forms drawn from veins, hearts, and roots out of borosilicate. Each decanter is part of his new “Strange Carafes” series is hand-blown. While some are designed for pouring wine, others are permanently closed and serve more as showpieces. Amazingly, an entire bottle of wine can be stored into a single sculpture thanks to Meneau’s eye for precise depth and diameter.
