The KUKU Birdhouse Nest Targets Conservation

The KUKU Birdhouse Nest Targets Conservation

Designed by Marco Antonio Barba Sánchez, KUKU began with the idea of environmental conservation – something that’s on many of our minds. Wild birds play a big role in our ecosystem and face a struggle to thrive due to the growth of cities, agricultural advancements, and pest birds. KUKU was designed as a functional, sustainable answer to that problem.

The house nest was created to aid in the reproduction and protection of wild birds, allowing them to continue on with their jobs of dispersing seeds, pollinating, and controlling plagues. KUKU’s biometric shape is reminiscent of the sun and acts as an anti-predator structure, it also mimics the nesting spaces of any number of birds.
