Istanbul is best known for its ancient heritage rather than its modern architecture, but photographer Yener Torun aims to change that by showcasing the latter side with his beautiful street photography. Through his @cimkedi Instagram account, Torun presents the exotic Turkish city in all its vibrant colors and exciting geometric structures.
The highly saturated, well-composed and stylized images, whether staged or candidly shot, offer an insight to the modern side of Turkey’s largest city. Torun usually visits places all over the city more than once, and sometimes at different times on the same day in order to observe multiple lighting conditions and shadow effects.
