Thought provoking Paris street art with clever details

On a recent trip to Paris, street artist Pejac created 3 clever guerrilla murals. Each is interesting from a distance, but it is the close-up details of the work that really begin to engage the mind.

The first playful mural is of a man throwing a balloon at a wall. Upon closer inspection the “water splat” contains a recreation of Manet’s famous The Luncheon on the Grass painting. The second of Pejac’s murals is of two children burning ants with a magnifying glass. You discover a disturbing secret hiding in the details where the “ants” are actually tiny humans. The third convincingly realistic painting is an optical illusion of a concrete door painted onto a concrete wall.

Pejac continues to fill the urban landscape with thought provoking paintings and we can’t wait for his next endeavor! Follow his movements on his Facebook Page.
