Nicolas Monterrat is an illustrator and animator specializing in creating imaginative GIF images.
The artist’s wild imagination is at full force in his new series which mostly involves vintage photographs featuring dated scientific apparatus. Paris-based Monterrat works his magic by digitally adding motion through glimmering particle effects and waves. The images were borrowed from old magazines, newspapers and even textbooks.
