In a totally absurd interactive art piece Daniel Rozin has assembled an army of kinetic penguines to confront each gallery visitor. His new sculpture at Bitforms Gallery in New York uses the black and white of the flightless bird’s stomachs to show a mirror silhouette of the person standing in front of them.
For instance, you walk up to the 450 penguins, all facing away from you, but when you get in range of the motion capturing video cameras they will begin to spin around to face you…in the shape of you. Creepy.
