Wrensilva’s New Hi-Fi Record Consoles Invite Mix-and-Match Customization

California-based home audio furniture brand Wrensilva’s catalog of mid-century style, hi-fidelity record consoles are faithfully fashioned to capture the stereo system-as-furniture designs your parents might have once shaken their legs to. The designs are all unapologetically retro-modern, with each system built around inset, belt-driven turntables that wear their Mad Men-era designs proudly on their sleeves. But take a closer look, and you’ll realize the audio and storage systems are undeniably contemporary when it comes to their actual specs. Outfitted with Class D amplifiers by Bang & Olufsen, featuring native Sonos wireless speaker support, and connectivity via Bluetooth 4.0 with aptX, Wrensilva audio systems are in the now.

Curly ash wood paired with brass legs and white speaker grilles presents a more contemporary take on the mid-century stereo system silhouette.

That said, Wrensilva identifies their customer as the person who wants to retain the outward appearance of yesterday’s audio systems, whether streaming their favorite Lossless playlist or setting an Ortofon cartridge onto an album when the mood strikes. The brand recently announced the launch of three new finishes available across both the M1 and The Standard Modern HiFi Record Consoles to give mid-century aficionados additional choices, with new finishes and material options once previously limited to the interior design trade industry.

These new options include custom removable speaker grille covers now available in white and mixed metal weave alongside optional black and brass legs, as well as the ability to combine walnut or ash wood finishes.

The Standard and larger M1 consoles measure between 59-inches to 72-inches in width each, adorned with slatted wood finish detailing.

The mix-and-match approach allows for some interesting design combinations, though our personal preference leans more conservatively in the handsome pairing of the walnut wood finish with the magnetically fastened metal weave grilles.

Expect to part with an additional $1,000 on top of the $9,900 base price for The Standard or the $12,990 M1 for these additional color and material combinations.
