FILM at LACMA presents classic and contemporary narrative and documentary films, artists and their influences, emerging auteurs, international showcases, special guest-curated programs, and conversations with artists and special guests.
LACMA members are invited to join FILM at LACMA for a special screening of Guillermo Del Toro’s Pinocchio followed by a conversation with director Guillermo Del Toro, moderated by Britt Salveson, Department Head of the Wallis Annenberg Photography Department and Prints and Drawings Department, and the curator of LACMA’s 2016 exhibition Guillermo del Toro: At Home with Monsters.
Director Guillermo del Toro and stop-motion legend Mark Gustafson reimagine the classic Carlo Collodi tale of the fabled wooden boy with a whimsical tour de force that finds Pinocchio on an enchanted adventure that transcends worlds and reveals the life-giving power of love.
Guillermo Del Toro’s Pinocchio is a 2023 Academy Award nominee for Best Animated Feature Film.
