The simple wisdom that painter Bob Ross shared in his PBS television series has influenced generations. Seeking to capture the essence of his philosophy, PBS Digital Studios has remixed some of the old episodes with the catchy refrain of “I believe that every day is a good day when you paint.”
The video captures some of Ross’ famous statements. Notably, the saying: “There are no mistakes, only happy accidents.” The television series The Joy of Painting ran for over a decade, from 1983 to 1994, and reruns of the show are still aired around the world today. I wonder how many people were introduced to painting by Bob Ross?
