98 different foods obsessively cut and arranged into a neat pattern

Lernert & Sander has created an incredible photo featuring a wide array of foods meticulously cut and arranged. The studio used 98 different types of food, including fruits, vegetables, and meat. To create the subject of the image, they cut the different pieces into 2.5-centimeter sized cubes. The resulting shapes showcase each food’s unique color and texture.

While some of the foods are obvious — a kiwi, red onion, watermelon or green pepper — others are trickier to guess. The neat organizing and vivid colors make it seem like a game to guess which cube is what food!

Listen beautiful relax classics on our Youtube channel.

This photo was created for Dutch newspaper De Volkstrant for a documentary photography issue about food. While it was created for the publication, the studio created 50 limited edition prints. Visit the website for more of their work or to purchase a print.
