Pseudonymous photographer Seph Lawless has made a name for himself shooting America’s abandoned places. Last year he photographed abandoned shopping malls for his ‘Black Friday’ collection.
This winter he returned to one of those malls, Rolling Acres Mall in Akron, OH, and found some of the interior spaces covered in a blanket of fresh snow. What had merely been damaged and broken symbols of the economic recession have been transformed into surreal landscapes straight out of a post-apocalyptic fairy tale.
