Friday Art Night classes are a great way to end the week!
Get inspired by the exhibition Black American Portraits and design and cut your own block prints. Led by artist Eszter Delgado.
Supplies are included with tuition, but please bring an image or picture of an item you can make into a personal symbol, like a flower, bird silhouette, heart, or simple shape.
About the Instructor
Eszter Delgado is a Los Angeles-based artist, educator, activist, and curator. She received her BFA from Humboldt State with a minor in Multi-Cultural Studies and her MFA from Claremont Graduate University. Eszter has taught art all over California (from the Hoopa and Yurok reservations in Northern California to the southern US-Mexico border) and, in Maui, Hawai’i, at the Kamehameha School. Her work responds to cultural and societal issues and has been exhibited nationally and internationally. Eszter has participated in food and water drops near the US-Mexico border and is currently curating an International Postcard Postal Art project.
Visitors 18 and over must provide proof of vaccination and show valid ID. Masks will be required of all visitors at all times regardless of vaccination status and a temperature check will be taken prior to entering the galleries.
In accordance with the City of Los Angeles vaccination ordinance, beginning Monday, November 8, 2021, all ticketed LACMA visitors ages 12+ are required to show proof of COVID-19 vaccination. Those with medical or religious exemptions may present a negative COVID-19 test taken within 72 hours. A valid photo ID is also required for visitors ages 18+.
