After Husband Falls Asleep In The Car, Wife Hosts Photoshop Battle To Show Him What He Missed (40 Pics)

Sleeping on a road trip is something we all do. I mean, who can really survive a 10-hour-plus ordeal filled with lukewarm coffee, shady biscuits from a petrol station, and the torturous chatter of your fellow passenger?

But there’s always the other side of the coin, and it’s all the many exciting things you can miss. And one woman, Sharea Overman, clearly caught on to the idea and decided to teach her snoozing husband a lesson. She snapped a pic of him pretending to be asleep in the car and posted it on a Facebook group. Sharea’s quest was a simple one—to get things photoshopped in the window so she could show her husband what he missed while asleep.

Sharea Overman snapped a picture of her husband, Nate, while they were on a family road trip in Indiana on August 28. Apparently, Nate was stretching his neck while driving and Sharea thought he was about to close his eyes. Nate wasn’t asleep, but the woman thought it still made a funny picture to share on social media.

Sharea told the press that the image captured what Nate was very well. He works as a truck driver and spends a lot of time driving, and since they have three little kids, dad is often tired.

The woman then decided to post the snap on a private Facebook group on photography, where she asked people to edit the background behind the car window.

Little did Sharea know, it would blow up fast. 20 minutes after she posted the image, Sharea started receiving hilarious photo edits from around the globe. “I started getting messages from people in South Africa, Australia, New Zealand, Alaska… sending me their photoshopped images of my husband,” she told CNN.

Sharea couldn’t believe something so silly could turn into all this. “This is so humbling. We are putting smiles on faces we don’t even know.” When Nate saw the viral prank, he found it hilarious. It turns out, his favorite photo tweak is the one that shows supermodel Christie Brinkley in a scene from the movie National Lampoon’s Vacation.
