Alpine Terrace House by Fearon Hay Architects

The Alpine Terrace House by Fearon Hay Architects is placed on a sloping terrain surrounded by mountain ranges overlooking the Wakatipu Basin in New Zealand’s Southern Alps.

Designed by the team of Fearon Hay Architects, the house consists of four intersecting buildings which are set around a courtyard. The cluster is sited on a sloping terrace surrounded by a specious mountain range overlooking the Wakatipu Basin in New Zealand’s Southern Alps. “While the outlook is spectacular, the elements can be harsh – the perimeter of the cluster provides a sanctuary. The house is a low profiled retreat perched in the open landscape.”
