Chairs and tables are grown on this bizarre furniture farm

The bizarre UK-based furniture company Full Grown is taking a new approach to furniture making by growing all their pieces in the shape of the items. Full Grown has no need for traditional wood working tools thanks to their strange farm in Wirksworth, England, where Mr. Munro has rows upon rows of chairs and tables growing in the open air.

The secret to his miraculous grown furniture is in his special technique of guiding young saplings of willow, oak, ash and sycamore trees into predetermined shapes as they grow. The designer expects to harvest the furniture next year and have the pieces available for sale in 2017. The chairs will be priced at $4,800 while lampshades will be sold closer to $1,500.
