London-based artist Super Future Kid, already well-known in London’s alternative art and fashion scene, paints playful, cartoonish, pop culture characters with her own artistic twist. The painter speaks about her style on her website: “I am deeply fascinated with the perception and perspective on the world from the view of an adolescent mind, and recently particularly in related ideas of mystery and strangeness but also games and playfulness. Those ideas include the realms of spirituality, the occult, myths and curiosities as well as themes of character identity such as the play of dressing up and costumes and lastly the idea of the freedom of the youthful spirit itself.”
Super Future Kid’s art is a well-balanced artistic vision of the chaos of entertainment and information excess we are currently living in. We need artists’ guidance to help us comprehend where we stand and what direction we should go towards in the future.
