Gaku is a food artist who shares his unique approach to carving fruit and vegetables on social media.
Using a technique called, “mukimono,” Gaku carves intricate geometric patterns into turnips, apples, lemons, and more. Employing only an X-Acto knife, the artist works quickly so as not to allow the fruit or vegetable to change color. The motifs and details are inspired by Japanese art.
