“Infinite Horizon” acrylic on canvas, 48″ x 48″

A graffiti artist?

At age five, dad would bring home large colorful chalks. It delighted me to fill the back alley with drawings. Each rain would wash the spontaneous creations away, leaving a blank canvas. Yippee!

“Docile Waters” acrylic on canvas, 24″ x 48″

Every year my family summered in Ocean City, Maryland for two weeks. The first thing I’d do was run to the white sandy beach to gaze over the vast ocean and its horizon line. To me, it represented freedom, freshness, continuous beauty and harmony. These impressions have always resided within.

“Water Carved Sands” acrylic on canvas, 18″ x 48″

Throughout my life, my favorite subject was art. In elementary school I couldn’t wait for the art teacher to roll in with her magical cart full of papers, paints, and glitter. In high school, I would take refuge in the “art womb”—my made-up name for the safe space of the art room.

“Horizontal Dance” acrylic on canvas, 36″ x 48″

I majored in fine art and art education in college. Over time, I found the public school curriculum challenged my “free-spirited” methods, leading me to guide private students to connect with their own artistic muse with painting and drawing for many years.

“Glistening Mesa” acrylic on canvas, 48″ x 48″

I arrived in Santa Fe, New Mexico, in 1986 and fell in love with this multicultural city, the beautiful wild surroundings and fresh pine-covered summer mountains.

“Jeweled Peaks” acrylic on canvas, 12″ x 24″

In the winter, the snow-covered hills and sunny azure blue skies inspired expansive visions with unending horizon lines.

“Terracotta Canyon” acrylic on canvas, 48″ x 48″

Many-colored sunsets that reflect forever changing weather patterns fill our skies with brilliance. I was hooked!

“Open Arms” acrylic on canvas, 12″ x 48″

My color field and minimalist landscapes reflect my unique personal journeys. They are internal interpretations of our earth’s magnificent environments.

“Mirage in a Desert” acrylic on canvas, 30″ x 40″

I use many layers of acrylic color with rich varnishes on canvas and panels to fulfill my individual quest.

“Pristine Splendor” acrylic on canvas, 36″ x 48″

I wish my Artsy Shark viewers to connect with my paintings and breathe, breathe and breathe.
