Furniture and homeware designed with wireless charging to create “mobile environments”

In this modern world of technology, it seems that being able to instantly recharge devices has become a great necessity. After all, each facet of our everyday life revolves around smart gadgets. But be it as it may, people still want to live organically and don’t want to feel surrounded by technology.

This minimalist approach is what inspired South Korea-based design studio Pesi in creating a range of home and office products. The furniture and homeware designs are made to enable wireless charging – an idea that would completely eliminate messy coils of chargers.

When asked about the project, Pesi co-founder Seungjoon Song said that the studio “focused on where people charge their mobile devices. We realised that chargers are usually used on tables, desks or dressers, and we thought that if we fused them with objects usually found in these place, then they’d have new functions.”
