Helmets humorously decorated for high-design

Designer Igor Mitin developed a series of helmets that use the imagery of similarly shaped objects as their surface design. Globes, watermelons, Magic 8 balls, and even a brain—these are some of the smart imagery that Mitin selected for the series. The product concept was developed for GOOD!, an advertising agency located in the Republic of Kazakhstan that Mitin co-owns.

In 2011, the helmet concept was named “the best of the best” by the Red Dot Design Awards. In the designer’s words: “Unifying two things with the same shape, but different purpose is really challenging and at the same time rewarding. As a result, the two things turn into something extraordinary and fascinating.”
