Iridescent pieces of glass create geometric patterns with light

Chris Wood uses light and glass to paint beautiful patterns onto white walls. She carefully constructs compositions with iridescent pieces of glass standing on end. Her arrangements are geometric, the glass and the light patterns, and can be manipulated to form the perfect complex shapes.

Wood explains her work: “Glass is a material which allows me to exploit the aesthetic potential of light. Minimal structures support simple arrangements of glass, which interact with light to create complex patterns of light and shade, which change depending upon the position of the viewer and the angle of the light source.”
