In his new series ‘Scenes from A Childhood,’ Michael Massaia has used a different kind of medium for his photos — melted frozen treats.
Using ice cream sandwiches and popsicles, Massaia photographs the summertime staple in a melting state which shows abstract colors coming together as the treat loses its shape and turns into a puddle. As stated in the name of his series, Massaia’s photos evoke memories from a summer in your youth.
