Project Mermaids was started in 2012 by photographers Angelina Venturella and Chiara Salomoni. Their goal is to bring awareness to how precious the sea and beaches are. These photographers capture celebrities in mermaid form, with The Mertailor, Eric Ducharme, who makes and donates the tails for the models.
If you would like to participate and become a mermaid or merman, you can check the Project Mermaids Photo Shoot Foundraising Tour for 2016, 50% will be going to the Saveourbeach foundation. Or if you wish to have your very own tail, check with Eric. He decided he would become a merman at the age of 13, and he makes tails for others too.
