Stage made to look like a bubble a must-see in this year’s Oerol Festival in the Netherlands

In the Netherlands, a cultural festival which brings together musicians, artists, and designers are held once a year in the month of June. The island of Terschelling is transformed into a stage for ten days. During these days, artists from different fields and walks of life come together to celebrate creativity and oneness with nature.

The Oerol Festival this year is themed after “loud shadows” and has been presented by collaboration between The Soltz, Leineroebana, Kate Moore, and Plastique Fantastique. The natural stage can be found in the middle of the lush forest and enclosed in a soft, transparent material that makes the natural surroundings visible. The design’s purpose is to make the performances more intimate while challenging space and time.
