Picture a lake seamlessly transitioning into mirrored glass and then shattering as it reached the shore. Sounds easier than it is to make it appear so. Using 17 square meters of mirrors, Erik Johansson created “Impact”, a digital photograph of a shattering lake. The work required several months along with a boat and a model. After planning and shooting, came the editing phase which took several hours to complete. The entire process was documented in a neat little video linked below.
