Swedish designer creates NES emulator from solid walnut

In an era of next-generation gaming consoles, one cannot deny the nostalgia belonging to older gaming systems the likes of Nintendo Game Boy and NES.

Swedish designer and craftsman Love Hulten took the nostalgia, combined it with traditional artisan knowledge and created the PE358, a foldable NES emulator inspired by the Game Boy Advance SP console. Constructed from solid walnut, the console measures 8x8x4cm with a Raspberry Pi A+ under the hood.

Listen beautiful relax classics on our Youtube channel.

To achieve foldability, Hulten added a hinge with just enough tension to allow for smooth opening and closing. Have a look at PE358 below and let more nostalgia find you at Hulten’s website.
