2017 may well have been called the year of felt seeing as how many artists used the material in their work. And they were all marvellous!
Textile artist Cat Rabbit produces adorable critters using nothing but felt. From croissant-headed figures to giant fried eggs, Rabbit produces each piece in her studio in Melbourne. Many of the pieces she creates are commissioned and sometimes her work makes its way into storybooks like Soft Stories – a collaborative project between Rabbit and Isobel Knowles.
