Tokyo Nights: Photography by Liam Wong

Tokyo Nights—another magnificent photo series of Tokyo at night captured by Liam Wong.

In 2016 we introduced you to Liam Wong‘s photographic work for the first time. The award-winning art director and photographer is well-known for creating meaningful aesthetics. After our first feature of his photographs of Tokyo’s nightlife back in 2016, it’s time to show you a little more. Fascinated by the city’s unique atmosphere (especially at night), Liam wandered through numerous streets and alleys. Armed with his camera, he managed to capture fascinating shots of a neon-colored Tokyo. Emerged in purple, red, blue, and turquoise lights, these images have a cinematographic expression of movies such as Gaspar Noé’s ‘Enter The Void’ or Ridley Scott’s ‘Blade Runner’. Liam just kept shooting photo after photo of all the streets, people, places, neon signs, and buildings.

An extensive selection of images can be found below. For more, please have a look at our first feature or visit Liam Wong’s website. You can also follow him on Instagram to stay up to date with his latest images.
