Using welding as his art form, engineer Richard Lauth has created a series of psychedelic works showing insects, animals and pop culture characters.
Lauth uses a TIG welding technique, which uses a tungsten electrode to deliver a current to the welding site. Then, the puddle that is formed is cooled with a gas, which requires the skill of an expert — the rainbow effect is hard to complete.

Some of his works include Yoda, a minion, and the Cheshire Cat. To see more of his work, check out his Instagram or Etsy shop.
