White Walls Gallery in Beirut Rebuilds From Devastating Explosion + Launches Rising Sun Collection

Founded by Sandra Batri, Mayssam Wehbe, and William Wehbe, White Walls Gallery is a small gallery and design store in Beirut that has had to endure multiple hardships, including inflation, popular unrest, the ongoing local crisis, and the devastating Beirut explosion in August 2020 that completely decimated the building. In April 2020, the three founders rebuilt and reopened White Walls, only 750 meters from the blast’s epicenter, and this month, they celebrate the launch of their first collection, Rising Sun. Completely produced in Lebanon, the collection is composed of three distinct objects: The Room Separator, The Side Table Set, and The Flora Holder Set.

The wavy and sculptural Room Separator provides privacy while also functioning as a backdrop.

The Side Table Set can be used as a coffee table when joined together or as separate side tables.

The Flora Holder is part ikebana vase, part sculpture. Inspired by the fleeting life of a flower, it can be used to display a single stem or multiple arrangements.
